Why BU?

Quality Instructions

Learn to become effective educators from our roster of experienced and highly qualified faculty members. We promise quality instruction as our faculty, who hold either a masters or doctoral degrees, teach courses within their respective areas of expertise and specialization.

IT Integration

These days, classroom instruction is enhanced through the use of technology. Teachers harness the benefits of Information Technology to enrich the teaching-learning process; while students, even at a very young age, pick up knowledge and skills with the help of these resources. As such, IT is integrated in all major professional subjects to ensure that graduates are proficient in the use of technology in their teaching profession.

Stellar Board Exam Performance

Through the years, the performance of our graduates in the licensure examinations for teachers and librarians has consistently exceeded national standards. In the board exam for librarians, we have produced topnotches and board placers – a 2nd placer in 2018, 3rd placer in 2016, 4th placer in 2007, 6th placer in 2019 and 10th placer in 2000.

Proven Quality

To be an accredited program means to be recognized as a provider of quality education among colleges and universities not only in the region, but in the country. It is an acknowledge indicator of a higher level of quality and excellence, over and above minimum requirements of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

In 2010, the BEEd program was the first of its kind in the entire country to be granted Level IV Accredited Status by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA). It has also been certified by the Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP).

In 2008, the College was recognized as a Center of Training by the Department of Education (DepEd) for its Certificate and In-Service Training (INSET) programs.

Opportunities for Learning

On top of periodically updating, revising and improving our curricular offerings, we ensure quality and relevant instruction through our linkages with various education professional organizations, such as the Philippine Association for Teachers and Educators (PAFTE), the Council of Deans for the Colleges of Education Region III (CDCE), the Philippine Association of Teachers of Library and Information Science (PATLS), and the Central Luzon Library Association (CLLA). Through these linkages, both students and faculty members receive the latest updates on current trends and issues facing the fields of Education, and Library and Information Science.

Partnerships with institutions abroad bolster further learning and training at a global level. BU’s partnership with the Chumphon Sueska School, Anuban Chuleekorn School, and Prempracha Wattana School in Thailand gives students the opportunity to complete their OJT or practice teaching in a different setting.

In 2016, the BLIS Department began sending qualified student-trainees to Binus University in Jakarta, Indonesia.
