OUR PROGRAMS

Bachelor of Arts in Communication

The degree integrates communication theories, principles, best practices, and tools with hands-on experience in various fields of communication, such as journalism, broadcasting, advertising and public relations, scriptwriting, editing, programming, and management. The program trains you to communicate in different formats and platforms, produce a range of communication materials, and demonstrate management and leadership skills, with consideration for ethical standards and practices.

Career Paths / Related Careers: this versatile degree can be applied to mass media roles involving the news, politics, lifestyle, sports, show business, environment, business and finance, and technology. You could also do work for print, radio, television, online, advertising, or PR.

Bachelor of Arts in Political Science

This pre-law course covers theories and methods related to the study of politics. Students conduct analysis of historical, legal, institutional, and theoretical issues, to gain a substantive understanding of the discipline.

Career Paths/Related Careers: Aside from pursuing Law, you can become a legal assistant, political analyst, paralegal assistant, journalist, educator, non-profit organization director, or public service officer or consultant.

Quality Instruction

Our programs offer curricula that cover theory and practice and ensures that students develop their critical thinking skills, social consciousness, communication skills, and creative independence, in whichever discipline they choose. They are based on the Memorandum Order issued by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), thereby demonstrating our commitment to providing quality instruction that meets national standards.

Further proof of the quality of instruction that we offer are the accreditations granted by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation to some of our programmes: BA Political Science and BA Communications each enjoy Level III Third Re-Accredited Status. This is significant as this means that we have gone beyond the minimum requirements set out for such programmes.

Fully-Equipped

To further enhance the learning experience, we have laboratories that serve as training grounds for our students. Our Radio Laboratory provides BA Communication students with hands-on experience, notably through managing the operation and airing of 100.7 BUFM, the official radio station of Baliuag University and the only radio station specifically made for a Communication Arts program, in the Bulacan province. Meanwhile, the TV laboratory exposes and trains BA in Communication students to television and broadcasting production.

Competent Faculty

CLAGE faculty members demonstrate a high degree of professionalism in their teaching, research, and extension activities. They regularly participate in various training programs to further enhance their knowledge and skills in their respective disciplines.

External Linkages

In the pursuit of promoting our students’ advancement, Baliuag University in partnership with The Manila Times College, offers a Three-year dual degree program (BA Communication and BA Journalism).

Our other partnerships and linkages help to enhance our faculty members’ and students’ knowledge and skills and serve as training ground for students in their respective disciplines. These include, ABS-CBN, GMA 7, CLTV 36, PTV4, Provincial Public Affairs Office (PPAO), Municipality of Baliwag, Philippine Statistics Office (Malolos), Thirty six-O industries, Cornerstone Entertainment Inc, Star Events Film Production, Bitag Unlimited Inc., Divergent Concepts Marketing Inc., Atty.
