College of Environmental Design and Engineering (CEDE)

College of Environmental Design and Engineering

Engineers work in a diverse field, which harness their knowledge and skills as critical thinkers and problem solvers. Engineers do not just build or fix things; they provide solutions and ultimately make the environment and life better for everyone.

Baliuag University College of Environmental Design and Engineering

Recognizes the importance of engineering in nearly all aspects of human life. With the aim of training students to become efficient and effective within their respective disciplines and be of service to society. CEDE has designed and structured four-year programs that encourage professional engineering practice and growth. Our programs balance scientific theories with real-world applications in environmental design and engineering. Also the CEDE has implemented the Outcomes-Based Education System that prepares and develops students to be ready to enter the world of work after graduation, as well as to pass the licensure examination.

By enrolling in any of our programs, you gain to understand not just how and why products and technologies work the way they do; but also how to solve complex issues and problems to benefit your organization and society.

OUR PROGRAMS

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering

With emphasis on doing this efficiently, functionally, economically, safely and regard with the environment, the program trains students to become engineers who work to enhance and protect the environment, and to provide mankind with facilities for community living, industry, transportation and structures.

Career Paths/Related Careers: Civil engineers can pursue roles involved in construction, projects, geotechnical and soils, geo-environment, water resources, structures, transportation, research, entrepreneurship, design, consultancy and education.

Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering

The Computer Engineering program trains you to apply engineering principles and methodologies in the analysis, design, implementation and management of hardware, software and the integration of both.

Career Paths/Related Careers: Computer engineering graduates can pursue careers in project engineering, network system administration, data communications, systems, technical support, quality assurance, test engineering, technopreneurship, education and research.

Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering

Through the Electronics Engineering program, you will be trained in the integration of available and emerging technologies, with knowledge of mathematics, and natural, social and applied sciences. You will be able to apply this training to conceptualize, design and implement new, improved or innovative electronic systems and equipment, computer and communication systems, devices, goods and services, and processes.

Career Paths/Related Careers: Electronic engineering graduates can pursue an engineering career in broadcasting, telecommunication, electronics design, computer systems, semiconductor manufacturing, automation, feedback, process control, robotics and mechantronics, instrumentation and telemetry, industrial electronics, signal processing, optics and medical/biomedical electronics.

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering

Under the Electrical Engineering program, engineering theory is enhanced by laboratory experience to train you in dealing with the generation, transmission, distribution and utilization of electricity; thereby familiarizing you with electrical, electronic and computing equipment, and experimental techniques.

Career Paths/ Related Careers:

With a degree in electrical engineering you can become a power engineer, design engineer, illumination engineer, entrepreneur, sales engineer, distribution engineer, educator, researcher, instrumentation and control engineer, safety engineer, maintenance engineer, construction and project engineer, software developer, or electrical design inspector.

Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering

The program integrates a wide variety of technology sciences with the production of goods and performance of services. Students will learn how to integrate human, information, material, monetary, and technological resources to produce quality and cost-competitive goods and services in a healthy and efficient work environment.

Career Paths/Related Careers:

Industrial engineers may work in the areas of production, organization and decision systems, operations manager, consultancy engineer, ergonomics and human factors engineering.

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering

The BSME program prepares engineering students with the necessary knowledge and skills in mechanical design, fabrications, energy conversion, fuel and combustion technologies, heat transfer, materials, noise control and acoustics, manufacturing processes, rail transportation, automatic control, product safety and reliability, solar energy and technological impact to society.

Career Paths/ Related Careers:

Graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering allows you to obtain a role as operations manager, maintenance engineer, design and consultancy engineer, production engineer, plant engineer sales and marketing engineer, fabricator, automotive engineer, instrumentation and controls engineer, biomedical engineer, or HVAC engineer.

Why BU?

Quality Instruction

Our four-year programs include core mathematics and science courses, in addition to professional and allied engineering courses. Each engineering curriculum includes about 210 to 220 units of courses spread across twelve trimesters, and is handled by qualified faculty members who hold masteral or doctoral degrees. Each program sends students to on-the-job training in reputable companies to provide them with the real-world experience. A research project in the 2nd year of the curriculum and a project study or research complete the learning experience, which is evaluated by an oral defense panel composed of faculty members, the Dean and other experts in the engineering field.

At present, the Civil Engineering program is accredited Level I by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUOA), which speaks for the high quality of instruction the program provides. It is about to be accredited for Level II in the latter part of 2022.

Proven Employability

Engineering innovators, designers and builders sought locally and abroad, our graduates are in high demand. 85% to 95% of our graduates are employed within three months for non-board programs, and within three months after passing the licensure examinations for board programs.

IT Integration

Information and Communications Technology such as Edmodo, Mathlab, Proplanner, Autodesk Softwares, such as AutoCAD, Zoom platform, Canvas Learning Management System, Microsoft Office applications, and Simulation Software such as TEKLA are integrated into the learning experience.

Opportunities for Learning

The College maintains an affiliation with language training provider, Berlitz, to enhance the English language skills of our engineering students, Info track for SAP Business to train our Industrial Engineering and Computer Engineering students, Labster for Science Laboratory experiments, and Skilz online platform for soft skills development of students.
