BU Advances Digital Learning Strategy at EdConnect 2026

by Jasmiene Domingo

Demonstrating its commitment to innovative learning, Baliuag University attended EdConnect 2026, a two-day summit hosted on July 1 and 2, 2026, by BU’s long-standing EdTech partner, C&E Adaptive Learning Solutions. Representing the university were Jasmiene Domingo, CITS Director, and Reina Flor Castro, Chief Librarian. The summit gathered higher education leaders, library professionals, and IT experts to explore how generative AI and authentic assessment are reshaping higher education.

Acknowledging that restricting AI is neither practical nor pedagogical, the summit advocated generative tools as an interactive learning aid to elevate critical analysis. Within this framework, authentic assessment stood out as the essential bridge, shifting the focus of evaluation from the end-product to the underlying learning process.

Ultimately, insights from EdConnect 2026 reinforce how BU’s strategic investments align with emerging standards in digital higher education. Complementing these efforts—and recognizing that deep scholarly research still relies on verified academic foundations—our University Library enriches this ecosystem by providing our BU community, faculty and students alike, with direct access to top-tier research platforms, including the Gale Database, Wiley, LIT Digital Library, and Curiosity Stream.
