Baliuag University has joined forces with the Department of Education Schools Division Office (DepEd SDO) of Baliwag and the Zonta Club of Baliuag to champion digital empowerment for educators and community members.
Through a newly signed Memorandum of Agreement, the partners will provide free computer literacy training to DepEd teaching and non-teaching staff, as well as Zonta beneficiaries. Led by BU’s College of Information Technology Education (CITE), the program will equip participants with essential skills in MS Teams, Canva, Excel, and other emerging educational technologies—empowering them to teach, work, and serve more effectively in a digital-first world.
Present at the signing were BU President Dr. Patricia Bustos-Lagunda, Schools Division Superintendent Rowena Quiambao, and Zonta Club President Ma. Jonnah Nubla Estrella, alongside BU and DepEd officials. Their shared presence underscored a common vision: bridging the digital divide and fostering lifelong learning.
This partnership is more than a training initiative—it is a commitment to uplift the community through technology. By empowering educators and school personnel, it strengthens not only classrooms but also the future of local education, inspiring innovation and raising standards across the board.
Together, BU, DepEd Baliwag, and the Zonta Club of Baliuag are lighting the way for a more connected, capable, and forward-looking community.
