On 11 November 2022, Mrs Clarissa P. Vicente - Dean, College of Information Technology Education at Baliuag University (Bulacan, Philippines) and her team had a visit to eduCLaaS headquarters in Singapore to further understand the eduCLaaS’ delivery processes, which can produce digital future-ready workforce and explore new programmes between 2 institutions. Baliuag University is eduCLaaS’ first Region 3 partner in the Philippines to embark on Work-Study undergraduate degree, starting in 2021.
The visit took place after eduCLaaS signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Baliuag University to launch Work-Study degrees across the Philippines. Under this partnership, learners will gain up to 3 years of working experience before graduation. During this visit, representatives from Baliuag University also had a chance to meet and discuss with eduCLaaS to understand about new programmes and the employment landscape of Singapore and the region.
Speaking about the experience visiting eduCLaaS headquarters, the Dean for the College of IT education from Baliuag University. said: "We are so delighted as we had a fruitful discussion with Mr. Krishnamoorthy Ramoo, Chief Operating Officer, and his team here in Singapore where EDUCLasS is based. Indeed, we are very grateful because they took the time to accommodate us, and we are excited to see more of what EDUCLasS has in store for our learners. I believed that innovations in teaching and learning delivery are a lifelong process of continuous collaboration and keeping abreast of changes in technology".
