The Certificate in Teacher Education (CTE) intends to equip non-education degree holders with the knowledge, skills and competencies related to the teaching and learning process necessary to take the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT).
Curriculum
The Certificate in Teacher Education (CTE) curriculum consists of 18 units in the professional education component of the teacher education program required by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), to be augmented by 6 units of Professional Enhancement Courses to better prepare the CTE students for the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LET). These courses are reinforced by outcomes-based delivery and practice.
Faculty Roster
Quality instruction is ensured by faculty members who hold either doctoral or master’s degrees. They teach courses within their respective areas of expertise and specializations. The faculty members also have rich experiences either in the classroom or administrative setting.
