Proven Quality

To be an accredited program means to be recognized as a provider of quality education among colleges and universities not only in the region, but in the country. It is an acknowledged indicator of a higher level of quality and excellence, over and above minimum requirements of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

In 2008, the College was recognized as a Center of Training (COT) by the Department of Education (DepEd) for its Certificate and In-Service Training (INSET) programs.

In 2010, the BEEd program was the first of its kind in the entire country to be granted Level IV Accredited Status by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA). It has also been certified by the Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP).

The BSEd program also become the first BSEd program granted Level IV Accredited Status in Region III, and second in the entire Philippines.

In 2017, the BS Psychology program was granted Level 2 Accredited Status and in 2022,  the BLIS program was granted Level 1 Accredited Status.

Opportunities for Learning

On top of periodically updating, revising, and improving our curricular offerings, we ensure quality and relevant instruction through our linkages with various education and human development professional organizations, such as the Philippine Association for Teachers and Educators (PAFTE), the Council of Deans for the Colleges of Education Region III (CDCE),  the Philippine Association of Teachers of Library and Information Science (PATLS), the Central Luzon Library Association (CLLA) and the Psychological Association of the Philippines Junior Affiliates.(PAPJA). Through these linkages, both students and faculty members receive the latest updates on current trends and issues facing the fields of Education, Library and Information Science and Human Development.

Partnerships with institutions abroad bolster further learning and training at a global level. BU’s partnership with the Chumphon Sueska School, Anuban Chuleekorn School, and Prempracha Wattana School in Thailand gives students the opportunity to complete their OJT or practice teaching in a different setting.

In 2016, the BLIS Department began sending qualified student-trainees to Binus University in Jakarta, Indonesia.
