Our Programs

Doctor in Business Administration (DBA)

This research-based program will provide an opportunity for business professionals and executives to advance their professional development and expand the breadth of their knowledge and skills in business management.

 

Doctor of Education (EdD)

Major: Educational Management, Filipino

This research-based program is designed to help teachers and school administrators to further develop their leadership, critical, and analytical thinking skills. It also aims to further improve their administrative and pedagogical capacities. This helps in advancing their knowledge and skills of the current trends and practices in education.

 

Master in Business Administration (Level III 1st Reaccredited Status)

Thesis, Non-Thesis

The MBA program aims to develop business competencies necessary to design and implement strategies to improve one’s overall organizational results. It also expands the problem-solving competencies in problem analysis and resolution, team management, performance management, interpersonal skills, and project management. Theoretical and practical knowledge are used in improving decision-making capabilities. Research competencies are also developed among business professionals through this program.

 

Master of Arts in Education (Level III Reaccredited Status)

The MAEd program is designed to prepare educational leaders with advanced knowledge and skills in a specialized, interdisciplinary, or multidisciplinary field of study for professional practice. It develops higher order thinking skills in the analysis, critical assessment, and application and communication of knowledge in the field. Research capabilities for verifying, validating, contextualizing, and/or applying theoretical and practical knowledge about the different education aspects are developed in this program.

 

Master in Public Administration (Thesis and Non-Thesis)

This program aids professionals in the public sector gain more knowledge and understanding of public administration theories and practices. It helps them understand better governance, innovation, and accountability. Students examine and develop policies that can be beneficial in the local and national governments.

 

Master of Library and Information Science (Thesis and Non-Thesis)

The MLIS program is designed to provide librarians with advanced library and information utilization, management, and evaluation skills. It introduces the librarians to the ever-changing concepts of information systems and management. They are taught theoretical and practical concepts that can be applied in their own libraries.

 

Master of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management

The MSHTM (Non-Thesis) program enables students to improve their career within the global hospitality and tourism sector.  With an emphasis on coursework, real-world experience, and practical industry knowledge, it provides a wide range of opportunities to advance to managerial or leadership roles within the sector.

Students will gain knowledge and skills related to hospitality and tourism industry operations management, marketing, internationalization of hospitality and tourism industry, human resource management, catering management and events management.  Courses throughout the curriculum address topics on globalization, diversity, innovation, sustainability and ethical practices in the hospitality and tourism industries.

 

Master of Science in Nursing (Non-Thesis) and Master of Arts in Nursing (Thesis)

The MAN and MSN degrees are graduate programs designed to prepare professional nurses for teaching, managerial, and supervisory roles in healthcare institutions. The programs also prepare nurses for advanced competencies that can spur and sustain leadership and innovation, scientific, and technological growth and creative and effective learning and teaching.

 

Master of Information Technology

The Master in Information Technology (MIT) program emphasizes the attainment of concepts and technologies, preparing and enabling the students for industrial practice of systems, integration, systems administration, systems planning, systems implementation, and other activities that maintain the integrity and proper functionality of a system and its components.

 

The MIT program responds to the demand for professionals, knowledgeable in information technology and security, techniques and principles and skills by offering courses that allow candidates to make immediate contributions to the workplace, organization, and society.

 

Special Program for International Students

This program is Baliuag University’s initiative towards transnational education. Foreign students can be admitted to our Doctor of Education and Doctor of Business Administration programs. They are provided with advanced competencies addressing global demands.

In the School of Graduate Students, students can enroll a maximum of 12 units for the two regular semesters. They are also allowed to enroll in six units during the Summer Term. This fast tracks the achievement of their desired degrees. This is all done with assurance of quality content and instruction.

Modular Delivery of Courses

Classes in the School of Graduate Studies are done via the modular approach. Students take only one course per month. This ensures that students can focus on the academic requirements of the courses. They are also given the freedom to accomplish the coursework at their most convenient time.

Online Learning

Our classes are done via the University Learning Alternative Platform (ULAP), powered by Canvas. Synchronous and asynchronous classes are done to address the learning needs of the students.

The Master of Arts in Education program is granted a Level III Reaccredited Status while the Master in Business Administration holds a Level III 1st Reaccredited Status.

In the School of Graduate Studies, students are closely guided in their courses. Professors provide academic consultations and counseling.

Before students take comprehensive examinations, they are met and given guide topics. During thesis proposals, students face a panel of examiners who guide them in the improvement and execution of their papers. Students are also given highly qualified advisers who closely monitor the students during and after their thesis defense.
