Information Commons – Information Commons is a place where one can find resources on how to write a paper or troubleshoot a computer or network problem, access numerous databases, or the library’s online catalog, navigate the Internet to visit websites, and use selected software to research. Information Commons is library-centric, meaning it is owned and overseen by library staff even though combining library and computer-lab resources. This is located at the first floor of the Library.
Circulation / Reserve Section – The Circulation Section follows the open-shelf system. This is located at the second floor of the Library. This section contains the bulk of the library collection. It houses the collection of books in computer science, history, psychology, social sciences, engineering, nursing, education, and other allied fields. Textbooks, supplementary reading books, self-education books and fiction books are also found in this section.
Filipiniana Section – This section houses a collection of publications about the Philippines regardless of author and imprint, works written by Filipinos and materials written in the Filipino language in the form of books, periodicals, pamphlets, etc.
Reference Section – Materials found in this section are for inside use only. Books found in this section comprises of different kinds of dictionaries, encyclopedias, directories, manuals, atlases, yearbooks, almanacs, indices, bibliography, and non-book materials that include maps, globes, and vertical files of clippings, pamphlets, leaflets and ephemeral materials. Books in this section give vital information on the field of research. The section is located at the 3rd floor.
Periodical Section – This section holds current and back issues of selected foreign professional journals. Local professional journals can be found at the Filipiniana Section.
Multimedia Kiosk – Reference books in digital format are located in the Multimedia Kiosk under the label “Electronic Resources”. They can be accessed through the computers in the Multimedia Kiosk. CD-ROMs, VCDs and DVDs can also be viewed here in this section.
University Archives and Museum – This section houses the organizational and social records of Baliuag University and Baliwag contained in programs, photographs, memoranda, memorabilia, artifacts and other materials of historical value accumulated by B.U. and Baliwag over the years.
Graduate Studies Library – This satellite library houses the collection of books, research journals, theses and dissertations and computer terminals that is useful to graduate students, faculty of graduate studies and also to the researchers. Books can be borrowed for one (1) week while the theses and dissertations are for room use only. This is located in Annex V Building along Vergel de Dios St.
Senior High School Library – This satellite library houses the collection of books, journals, and computer terminals that will be useful to senior high school students, faculty of senior high school and personnel. Books can be borrowed for one (1) week while fiction books are for one (1) month. This section is located in Annex III Campus along Gil Carlos St.
High School and Grade School Libraries – These are libraries that specialize in children’s and young adults’ books and other library materials that can be used by elementary pupils and high school students. These two separate libraries are located at the Basic Education Campus.
