BASIC EDUCATION

Binhi Scholarship

Beneficiaries

The Baliuag University BINHI Scholarship is open to all incoming High School freshmen who graduated as valedictorians, salutatorians or with honors from any public or recognized private elementary school. (See table below).

Benefits

Eligibility

  • To be eligible for a Binhi Scholarship, an applicant must be a valedictorian, salutatorian or an eligible honor graduate from the elementary school he/she last attended.
  • To maintain the scholarship, he/she must not have any failing grade in any subject during the school year and must have a final average grade of 89 or above.
  • The student must not be subjected to any disciplinary action while studying in the University.**
  • The student must not have outstanding balance in their account for the previous School Year.

Requirements

  • Copy of Elementary School Report Card
  • Certificate from the Elementary School Principal as to applicant’s ranking and number of students belonging to the graduating class
  • Certificate of good moral character
  • Two (2) 1 x 1 I.D. pictures

Application

  • Application opens 30th of March and closes 31st of May.
  • Forms are available at the High School Principal’s Office.
  • Applications, together with all relevant supporting documents, must be submitted to the High School Principal’s Office not later than 5:00 pm from Monday to Saturday.

Principal’s Scholarship

Beneficiaries

The Baliuag University PRINCIPAL’S Scholarship is given to the top student in each elementary grade level of the Baliuag University Grade School.

Benefits

Principal’s scholars are entitled to 100% discount on annual tuition fee.
This scholarship is given every year to a limited number of qualified students.

Elementary Grades 1 – 6 Discount Rate
1st Honor 100% discount on tuition fee

Eligibility

  • To be eligible to become a Principal’s Scholar, an applicant must be the first honor of the class in his/her grade school level.
  • He/She must maintain the first position in the ranking in order to enjoy the privilege in the next school year. If not, the privilege will automatically be given to the next qualified first honor student.
  • It is also important that the student not be subjected to any disciplinary action while studying in the University.**

  • Copy of Certification of being the First Honor from the Principal

Application

  • Application period: April 15 to May 31
  • Deadline of submission: May 31
  • Forms are available at the Grade School Principal’s Office.

Dean’s Scholarship

Beneficiaries

The Baliuag University DEAN’S Scholarship is given to a limited number of qualified college students with at least one (1) semester residence in Baliuag University.

Benefits

Dean’s scholars are entitled to 50% or 100% discount on tuition fee per semester.
This scholarship is given every semester to a limited number of qualified students.

Eligibility

  • To be eligible to become a Dean’s Scholar, a student must have completed one (1) semester residency in Baliuag University.
  • Students must apply for the Dean’s Scholarship every semester and pass the screening and interview by the Scholarship Committee.
  • As an applicant, he/she must fall within the limit of the number of scholars to be selected during the particular term.
  • A student must maintain a full-time enrolment and carry a full load (no less than 18 units or 17 units with laboratory) every semester.
  • He/She must not drop any subject during the school year or semester, have no grade below 2.50, an X grade and/or W in any subject, and maintain an average grade of 1.0-1.60.
  • It is also important that the student not be subjected to any disciplinary action while studying in the University.**

Leadership Scholarship

The Baliuag University LEADERSHIP Scholarship is given to the chosen Editor-in-Chief of the official school publication of the University and the duly elected BU Supreme Student Council President of the University.

Benefits

The BU Chronicle Editor-in-Chief and BU Supreme Student Council President are entitled to 100% discount on tuition fee per semester.

Eligibility

  • To be eligible to become a Leadership Scholar, the student must have been chosen/elected and must have passed the screening and qualifying exams given by the Office of the Student Affairs.

Harvest Scholarship

Beneficiaries

The Baliuag University HARVEST Scholarship is open to all incoming Graduate Program students who graduated summa cum laude, magna cum laude or cum laude from any public or recognized private college or university.

Benefits

Harvest scholars are entitled to a 50% discount on tuition fee annually.
This scholarship is renewable annually as long as eligibility requirements are maintained.

Eligibility

  • To be eligible for a Harvest Scholarship, an applicant must be a summa cum laude, a magna cum laude or a cum laude graduate from the college or university he/she last attended.
  • The student must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 units in a given semester except during the last semester of stay in the University.
  • To maintain the scholarship, he/she must have a grade of not less than 1.75 in any subject.
  • The student must not drop any subject during the school year or semester.
  • He/She must complete the program within the prescribed period.
  • It is also important that the student not be subjected to any disciplinary action while studying in the University.**
