Project Healthy Aging of BU HALINA is now 23 years

The Baliiuag University Hatid Lingap sa mga Nangngailangan (BU HALINA)  Program  is an  organized outreach program of the university  which was formally launched in August 1992 with  ten   project components and one of this is the Project Healthy Aging for the Elderly.   The target beneficiaries are those who are 60 years old and above from the barangays in the Municipality of Baliuag and others from different municipalities within the service areas of Baliuag University.

The Project Healthy Aging was conceptualized to promote healthy and productive life among the elderly in the service area of Baliuag University. This eventually led to the organization of Baliuag University Senior Citizens Club with 700 members. There is a regular meeting sessions every first and third Sunday of the month, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm , with the following activities like health screening, health education, fellowship, physical fitness, recreation activities , socializations and holding of program on special occasions like anniversary, christmas, valentine’s day and birthdays. For this year, elected as President is Mr.Enrique and Erlinda Flores, .as Vice-President. The Project Healthy Aging is taken care of by its Founding Project Chairperson, VP Elizabeth R, Roxas, Mrs. Teresita dela Peña as Co-chairperson and of the students, faculty, and staff of the College of Nursing.
