Dean Roxas Golden Medallion Awardee from ADPCN

The Association of Deans of Philippine Colleges of Nursing awards the ADPCN Golden Medallion to Dean Elizabeth R. Roxas for her leadership towards excellence in nursing education in the country on the occasion of its 50th Founding Anniversary Celebration last October 14, 2009 at the Manila Hotel. She is responsible for facilitating the First National Conference of Nursing Students in the Philippines and for the enhancement of the nursing curriculum through Integrated Management of Childhood Illnesses Strategy that builds the competencies of the future professional nurses in promoting child‘s health.

Dean Roxas is considered as one of the nursing leaders who shaped ADPCN through the years as national president for 3 terms from 2002- 2004. Other leaders in Philippine Nursing
since its founding in the 50s, are Julita V. Sotejo as the prime mover of the ADPCN, Dean Lydia A.Palaypay (President 1982-1989), Sr. Remy Angela T. Junio,spc (President 1990-1994), Dean Cecilia M. Laurente (President 2001) and Dean Carmelita C. Divinagracia (President 1995-2000 and 2005 to present).
