The BU Main Library and the Grade School & High School Libraries will host the celebration of the annual Book Week on November 26, 2008.
The College campus’ celebration will focus on the theme: “The Value of Books and Reading in Improving the Academic Performance of Students.” Dr. Sergio S. Cao, Chancellor of the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City will be the guest speaker.
The Grade School & High School departments will have story-telling sessions and a book fair. The event will have story-tellers from Adarna House (the publisher of popular children’s books) read stories to students, and soon-after, students will have the opportunity to buy their favorite books in the book fair.
The Bahay na Bato Multi-Purpose Hall will accommodate the college celebration at 9:30 am, while at 1:30 pm, the High School Library will be the venue for the afternoon celebration.
