Student Assistant Program

Beneficiaries

The Baliuag University STUDENT ASSISTANT Financial Assistance Program is given to a limited number of deserving College students.

Benefits

Student Assistants are extended up to 100% discount on tuition fees.

This scholarship is given and renewable every semester to a limited number of qualified students.

Eligibility

  • To be eligible to become a Student Assistant, an applicant must be a bona fide student of Baliuag University and not a recipient of any Baliuag University affiliated scholarship, in good physical condition and of good moral character.
  • The applicant’s family’s gross income should not exceed Two Hundred Thousand Pesos (Php 200,000.00) per annum as shown in the latest Income Tax Return (ITR).
  • To become eligible, the student must have a general average of 85% for entering college and 2.5 for college students.
  • Students must apply for the Student Assistant Scholarship every semester and pass the screening, qualifying exam and interview by the Department Head needing the service.
  • To maintain the scholarship, the Student Assistant must carry a minimum academic load of 17 units and a maximum load of 23 units and maintain an average grade of 2.5 without any failing grade in any subject.
  • Student Assistants are required to render 24 hours of work per week and should agree to other terms and conditions required by the departments as stated in the Notice of Assignment.
  • To continue enjoying the privileges of a Student Assistant and be re-appointed, the student must have passed the evaluation conducted by the Department he/she was assigned to every end of the semester.
  • It is also important that the student not be subjected to any disciplinary action while studying in the University.**

Requirements

  • Copy of High School Report Card/College Class Card
  • Copy of latest Income Tax Return of parents with BIR stamp
  • Two (2) 2 x 2 I.D. pictures
  • Passing of screening and interview

Application

  • Application period: April 1 – 30; October 1 – 31
  • Deadline of submission: May 15; November 15
  • Application forms are available at the HRD Office.
  • Applications, together with all relevant supporting documents, must be submitted to the HRD Office not later than 5:00 pm from Monday to Saturday.

Personnel Development Program

Beneficiaries

The Baliuag University PERSONNEL DEVELOPMENT Financial Assistance Program is given to employees of Baliuag University pursuing their studies in graduate programs.

Benefits

Qualified Baliuag University personnel are extended from 20% to 100% discount on tuition fee.

Eligibility

  • To be eligible to become a recipient of the Personnel Development Financial Assistance Program, the applicant must have served Baliuag University for at least three (3) years and/or earned regular status, except for newly hired Nursing Clinical Instructors taking up MAN/MSN programs.
  • Employees must apply for the Personnel Development Financial Assistance Program every semester.
  • To maintain the scholarship, the grantee must maintain a weighted average as may be required by the retention policy of the college/university where he/she is enrolled in.
  • Grantees are required to continue to work with the Baliuag University and shall not accept any other employment outside Baliuag University.
  • The grantee will be required to sign a contract with the University regarding the services he/she has to render in exchange for this financial assistance.

Educational Subsidy for BU Employee Dependent/s

Beneficiaries

The Baliuag University EDUCATIONAL SUBSIDY Program is granted to legal dependents of full-time regular BU employees in good standing. Legal dependents refer to minor children by birth and/or legally adopted children.

Benefits

Baliuag University employees are extended from 25% up to 100% discount on tuition and miscellaneous fees of their dependents.

During any given school year, a maximum of three (3) dependents enrolled in any grade level are qualified for this program.

  • Birth Certificate of dependent/s or Legal adoption papers for legally adopted child
