College of Education (BEEd. and BSEd. Programs) 


 • Our BEEd. program has Level IV Accredited Status granted by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA). It is the first and only BEEd program with Level IV Accredited Status in the entire Philippines. Level IV Accreditation serves as an indicator of higher level of quality and excellence.

 

• Our BSEd. program has Level III 1st Reaccredited Status granted by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA).

 

Percentage of passing in the Licensure Examination for Teachers of our BEEd. and BSEd. graduates have always been above the national passing percentage.

 

• BU Education graduates get employed easily because they always rank high in the selection process among the teacher-applicants in public and private elementary and secondary schools within the Division of Bulacan and in Region 3.

 

• Majority of the teachers employed in both public and private elementary and secondary schools in Bulacan and partly of Pampanga are graduates of the College of Education of Baliuag University.

 

• Majority also of the Principals of both public and private schools as well as District and Division Supervisors in the Province of Bulacan are graduates of the College of Education of Baliuag University.

 

• The BEEd. and BSEd. Students can complete their on-the-job training/practice teaching in Thailand. Student-teachers receive free accommodation, free meals and free crash course in teaching in Thailand. They also receive honoraria for the English tutorial classes that they handle. The College has an existing memorandum of agreement (MOA) with Chumphon Sueksa School in Thailand.

 

• Quality instruction is provided to students.

 • Faculty members are carefully selected through various screening   procedures. All are MA and Doctoral degree holders.

 • Faculty members teach their areas of expertise and specialization.

 

• Information Technology is integrated in the major professional subjects. As such, graduates are skillful in the use of technology in the teaching-learning process.

 


College of Education (BLIS Program) 

 

• Percentage of passing in the Licensure Examination for Librarians has always been above the national passing percentage.

 

• Baliuag University Department of Library and Information Science produces topnotchers in the Licensure Examination for Librarians. A BU BLIS graduate was the 4th topnotcher in the 2007 Licensure Examination for Librarians. In the same year, Baliuag University  was the third among the top performing schools in the whole Philippines.

 

• Majority of the librarians within the province of Bulacan are graduates of Baliuag University.

 

• Quality of instruction is provided to students.

• Faculty members are carefully selected through various screening procedures. All are MA and Doctoral degree holders.

• Faculty members teach their areas of expertise and specialization.

• The BU Library is housed in a four-storey building with OPAC and WI-FI connected.

 

• The BLIS curriculum is a 2-in-1 Plan Curriculum that aims to develop the range of knowledge and skills needed in the practice of library and information science and the teaching profession. Graduates of the BLIS program can also take the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) for them to be qualified to teach in the high school level.

 

• Information Technology is integrated in the professional courses as well as in the basic and areas of specialization courses. As such, graduates are skillful in the use of technology in library procedures/operations.

 

• The BLIS Program has linkages with various professional organizations like the Philippine Association of Teachers of Library Science (PATLS) and the Central Luzon Library Association (CLLA) that further provide opportunities for BLIS students and faculty to be updated with current trends in library and information science.
